Golden Solar provided an innovative Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) solution, demonstrating how green infrastructure can boost property value and meet modern sustainability demands. ![Auckland SCD5-1](https://www.goldensolarbipv.co.nz/hs-fs/hubfs/Auckland%20SCD5-1.jpeg?width=696&height=534&name=Auckland%20SCD5-1.jpeg) ### Project Overview Golden Solar successfully delivered an 8kW double solar carport, transforming a standard parking area into a high-performing asset. This solution features a structural waterproof aluminium design, seamlessly integrating high-efficiency monocrystalline solar panels. It generates clean energy while providing robust, covered parking, aligning with the client's green building goals. ![Website Mockup (1)](https://www.goldensolarbipv.co.nz/hs-fs/hubfs/Website%20Mockup%20(1).png?width=689&height=388&name=Website%20Mockup%20(1).png) ### Key Features & Impact The 8kW system, encompassing a 5.2m x 6.5m double-car carport, boasts exceptional durability with anti-corrosion properties and high resistance to wind and hail. Its estimated annual output of 11,000–12,000 kWh significantly offsets the client's energy consumption. Crucially, the project supports Green Building+ certification goals, enhancing the client's sustainability credentials and contributing to their carbon reduction strategy. ### Why This Project Stands Out This solar carport exemplifies a "small-scale, high-impact" approach. Unlike traditional carports with retrofitted panels, Golden Solar's design integrates waterproofing directly into the PV module assembly, ensuring long-term structural integrity and performance. This dual-purpose solution offers immediate functionality (parking shade) alongside a compelling energy ROI, making it an ideal entry point for SMEs and commercial property owners looking to embrace solar without massive initial investment. It directly supports carbon reduction and delivers substantial long-term energy cost savings. ![Website Mockup-min-1](https://www.goldensolarbipv.co.nz/hs-fs/hubfs/Website%20Mockup-min-1.png?width=1920&height=1080&name=Website%20Mockup-min-1.png) ### What does client says The client's satisfaction highlights the project's success: “This solar carport perfectly matches our green building vision. It’s functional, sleek, and helps us cut down energy costs while contributing to sustainability.” ### Golden Solar's Contribution Golden Solar provided comprehensive, end-to-end services, from initial project design and supply to seamless installation, in collaboration with local partners. This East Tāmaki project proves that small commercial BIPV initiatives can deliver significant environmental and financial benefits, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable commercial landscape. > "This solar carport perfectly matches our green building vision.
